Guided Reading

In Guided Reading, we study a text for the week and consolidate different skills. On Monday and Tuesday, we read the text and develop fluency. After, we answer questions about the text. This week we are reading a piece about the Windrush generation and how they came to England from Jamacia. On Friday, we read a new text about Refugee Week, which takes place the week that 20^th June (UN Refugee Day) falls on.

We look at different texts each week, but they always follow our topic and the pattern stays the same.
