An Interactive Digestive System

On Thursday 28th September, Year 4 got a bit of a smelly (and rather revolting) treat! Both Dahl and Donaldson class worked collaboratively to create an interactive digestive system and took on roles of the teeth, oesophagus, stomach, intestines and anus to demonstrate the movement of food, nutrients and even waste products in our bodies. It takes around 24 hours for the food in our digestive system to complete it’s journey, but luckily for us it took a little less! We were so proud of the children for all getting involved and demonstrating fabulous scientific understanding – make sure you ask them all about it!
